HYDE UNITED 4 1 TADCASTER ALBION
Paddy Miller 44
Karl Jones 60
Matthew Beadle 75
James Burke 87
Att: 383 Savory 4

This was one of the better performances of the season so far against a very good Tadcaster side who were on a good run of form and results.

Hyde had to show a high level of professionalism in the game after falling behind on four minutes when a mix up at the back allowed Aiden Savory to put Tadcaster ahead. The boys didnt panic, and it was clear that the pace of our wide players and the control in possession moving from the back through midfield would eventually pay dividends. The game turned on a red card, when Andy Milne was dismissed for a last man tackle on 36 minutes and constant pressure from Hyde eventually led to an equaliser, scored by Captain Paddy Miller right on the stroke of half time, allowing Darren to organise during the break and in the second half, take control.

The second half was all Hyde. Matty Beadle was really lively in the game, asking questions of the Tadcaster back line and looking to force them in to an error. He twice rounded the keeper, and looked to be taken down for a penalty, but the referee waved on play. It was on the hour mark that the Tiger moved ahead with substitute Karl Jones picking the ball up on the right hand edge of the box before forcing his way in between two defenders and firing a low left footed shot between keeper and post. 2-1 Hyde United FC

The extra man was now starting to show, and allowed the Hyde fullbacks to get forward creating overloads. This allowed James Burke to support an attack on 76 minutes rounding his man and firing an excellent low cross which was slotted home by Matthew Beadle to make it 3-1 and to secure the game for Hyde-

With the clock running down, substitute Dominic Marie, on home debut for the Tigers on his return to the club, fired a miscued shot in on the Tadcaster goal which found an unmarked James Burke on the edge of the six yard box and he slotted it home right footed.

FT 4-1 HYDE UNITED FC

Manager Darren Kelly was really pleased with the win and the performance. "we looked good from start to finish. Everyone was ready to get back to winning ways today, and you could feel that in training on Thursday night, and in the dressing room before kick off. We were missing Big Khamsuk again today, and slight knocks in the first half to Chris Sutherland and Luke Porritt could have put us on the back foot, but the boys were excellent back to front, working hard for each other and showing real quality. Tadcaster are a very good side, and their excellent Manager and Coach had set up to cancel out our quality and to frustrate our play so that makes a victory like this more pleasing. The sending off did effect the game, but I think it was clear before this that we were in control and playing well, so I am confident the result would have been a Hyde win without it. We can go in to the coming week with a lot of confidence as we prepare for the game against Trafford and the start of an important run of games through to new years day"
