Hyde United Football Club wish to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ross Aikenhead, who passed away recently, aged 24.

Ross studied a Sport BTEC at our Academy when aged 16-18 and was a very popular student. Academy Manager Pete Boyle stated- “Everyone associated with the Club and the Academy are devastated to hear the news about Ross. He was a brilliant student, footballer and person and those he came across always spoke highly of him. Our sympathies go to all his family at this sad time”

We will be announcing plans for a fundraising match in memory of Ross prior to the start of the 24/25 season.
