Academy Lads step up

Hyde United FC is proud to announce that five Academy players, Harry Judd, Callum Jeffries, Callum Jones, Rhys Holmes and Chay Lomas, have officially signed with the First Team.

This milestone marks a significant moment for the club and a shining example of the successful player pathway that runs from our youngest age groups right through to senior football and the club’s commitment to developing local talent.

Over the years, the club has invested heavily in building a complete development programme — starting from our Under-6s all the way up to the Under-21s, providing a clear route for ambitious young players to progress within the Hyde United system.

First Team Manager Martin Coyne said:

”It is fantastic to see players who have grown up through the system now earning the opportunity to represent Hyde United at senior level, they have shown the right attitude, ability and commitment and they deserve the opportunity”

Academy manager Josh Wallbank-Scales said on the promotion of the academy lads:-

”We’re immensely proud of the players coming through the academy and to have the support of Martin and the first team staff to use the pathway that we’ve built as a club!

The boys have worked incredibly hard to achieve this and they’ll only continue to do so! Hopefully it shows the talent that we have at Hyde United Academy and that there are more players chomping at the bit to sign those papers!”
