Manager Michael Clegg has issued a squad update ahead of tomorrow’s FA Trophy clash with FC United of Manchester.

”Edy Maieco has left us, we needed to freshen up the squad and it looks like he is joining a club in or league, Jack Kenny’s loan has expired and he has gone back to Chester, Jack has helped fill a hole in the squad and we thank him for his efforts, but with Brad Roscoe coming in we wouldn’t have got him many minutes so their was no point extending his loan.

Unfortunately Max McCarthy has been recalled by Radcliffe, Max was a three month loan but with a recall clause after 28 days which Radcliffe have activated so its dissapointing but he is Radcliffe’s player so their isn’t a lot we can do.

We were delighted to bring Brad Roscoe back to the club, we’ve had to be patient but we’ve got it over the line and it will give everyone a huge boost.  We’ve also added Charlie Stewart to the squad, Charlie was released by Everton in the summer, he’s only young but he has been training with us and he’s one we are hoping to develop.

We hope to have Jack Redshaw back in the next fortnight, Ben Hough is back in training and Tom Walker back in the squad so I think this time next
week when we host Stockton the squad will look even stronger.”

Our former captain is back!

Brad Roscoe has re-joined the Tigers from Radcliffe FC for an undisclosed fee, signing a deal until the end of the 2027/28 season.

Brad joined the Tigers in 2019 from Buxton and made 160 appearances with 16 goals before departing to Radcliffe at the end of the 2023/24 season.

During his time with the National League North outfit he made over 100 appearances and featured in every game last season.

We can confirm that forward James Kirby has departed the club, for personal reasons, and has joined Congleton Town

James made four appearances scoring his only goal away at Lancaster City, in a game the Tigers won 2-1, injury has since blighted his time at the club.

Ahead of tomorrow’s home game with Whitby Town (3pm Kick Off) the Tigers have added winger Jesurun Uchegbulam on a three month loan from divisional rivals Bury FC.

The 25-Year-Old only joined the Shakers in the summer, after spending last season down south with Eastbourne Borough and Chelmsford City.

He made his name at Matlock Town before a move to Chesterfield FC saw him gain National League experience with spells at Rochdale and Oldham Athletic, who he helped back into the Football League.

We are delighted to announce the signing of defender Jack Kenny on a one month loan from Chester FC

The highly-rated 21-year-old made the move to the Deva Community Stadium after captaining Avro to promotion which culminated in a 4-2 win over Stalybridge Celtic in the playoff final to seal promotion following a tight title battle with Bury.

A product of the Stockport County youth system, the centre-back gained his first senior experience whilst at Edgeley Park with loans at Stockport Town and Avro, before a permanent move to Chadderton.

Jack is eligible to play for us in the FA Cup and will be in the squad for tomorrow’s game at Warrington Rylands (3pm Kick Off)
