Squad Update

Following on from the announcement that Michael Clegg and his backroom staff have committed for the 2026/27 season we can provide supporters with further updates regarding the playing squad.

We are delighted to announce that Will Hall, Shakeel Jones-Griffiths and Edy Maieco have all agreed terms for the new season.

They join Jack Redshaw, Harry Ditchfield and Tom Pratt who were already signed on for next season.

Sadly, Matt Fearnley will be leaving this summer to pursue a new challenge with another club. Matt was offered terms for next season but leaves with our best wishes and the upmost respect and we thank him for his valuable contributions with us.

Fearns recently passed 150 appearances for the Tigers, scoring 29 goals, and made the most appearances of any player of last season’s squad in all competitions.

The gaffer Michael Clegg commented ”I am delighted to retain Will, Shak and Edy who all contributed a lot since I walked through the door. It’s great to get that business done and dusted quickly”.

On the departure of Matt Fearnley – ”I am really sad to lose Fearns, he’s left on really good terms. He just wanted a new challenge which I respect him for. He’s a great guy and his effort and commitment for this football club in the time he has been
here has been top class which I thank him for.”

Further squad updates will be communicated once available.

Following the end of the 2025/26 season the following players will be leaving the club:-

”After securing safety the final games of last season, I am confident we will be looking towards the upper end of the league and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”

Discussions are also underway with players for next season with details being announced in the coming days

Reece For The Tigers

Michael Clegg has added to the ranks on deadline day by bringing in defender Reece Kendall.

The 26-Year-Old made his name at Matlock and Guiseley regularly scoring and assisting from full back.

He has also represented Bury FC over two spells and joins us after a period at Northern Counties East Side, Tadcaster Albion

Welcome Reece

Antoine leaves

We can confirm that winger Antoine Makoli has departed the club following the mutual cancellation of his contract. Antoine joined the Club from Wycombe Wanderers in August 2023 and made an immediate impact with his pacy, direct style.

We are delighted to announce that Harry Ditchfield has extended his contract until the end of next season.
Manager Michael Clegg said “It’s massive for the club and it’s massive for him with him being a local boy, anyone in the league would want him in their side and it was important that planning for the future we kept hold of him”
