We are looking for someone to look after our recording of games and video editing of highlights for both home and away games.

The role would suit someone who is already doing video editing or just getting into it, someone who loves football, its a great way to learn new editing skills.

The role involves the following tasks.

  • Home Games – Site the Veo camera on our monopod that is next to the home dugout.
  • Away Games – Site our tripod in the correct location and attach the Veo camera.
  • Connect to the Veo camera using mobile device and start the recording around 15 minutes before kick-off.

  • The software on the Veo portal will analyse the game and create highlights of the game, goals, free kicks, corners, shots on goal etc. You will need to go through these highlights to correct any mistakes the software might make and remove any clips that are relevant for the final highlights video. Mistakes that can be made by the software is creating a clip for a goal when it wasn’t actually a goal, a shot just gone wide or a disallowed goal. Total time to do this is a maximum of 1 hour and would normally be ready to be done within 12 hours of uploading the footage.

Commenting on his signing the gaffer said ”Ryan is another player who can play numerous positions, I’ve known him since he was a young lad at Bolton, he can play anywhere down the left and also in the 10 role, he knows the league and somebody who will make us stronger”

Join Our Group Of Volunteers

The football club are looking for more volunteers to help in the running and up keep of the club.

There are many roles that volunteers do and those roles are increasing every season as the club increases the number of teams it has. We have a very successful Junior and Youth setup, a ladies team and an onsite Academy, all of which means the ground is open 7 days a week. With being open 7 days a week there are a lot of people that come to the ground to watch teams train or play games. More people in the ground means the need for ongoing maintenance, tidying up, ground improvements and providing refreshments increases.

There is only so much our current group of volunteers can do, so having new volunteers will ensure that we can continue to grow and provide the facilities for the local community. Being a fans owned club means we depend upon volunteers to keep costs down and keep the ground in good condition.

So, if you can spare an hour here or there in the evenings after work or at weekends, when many of our teams are training or playing games it would very much welcomed.

We would also love to have new volunteers to help out on first team match days, Saturdays and Tuesday evenings. There are many roles that need doing on a first team match day to ensure everything is ready before a game and whilst the game is on.

It’s a great way to meet new people and get involved with the local community and your local football club.

Monday to Friday from 5pm and at weekends, when our teams are training or playing games we need people to help keep the ground tidy, do general maintenance or help out in the main tea bar.

On first team home games, there are many more roles to do, some are but not limited to:

Sell programmes.
Sell 50/50 tickets.
Sell golden goal tickets.
Help at our turnstiles and players entrance.
Help out in our new tea bar, pitch side next to the Leigh Street stand.
Help in our outside bar, pitch side next to the Tinkers stand.

You might not be able to help every first team home game, but if you can help at some games it would help. Our current group of volunteers are not always available for first team home games because of other commitments or holidays, so having people we can call upon for a game here and there would be great.

If you have a trade we would also like to hear from you, we are always looking for tradesmen to do jobs our volunteers don’t have skills to do and would prefer to employ the services of local people in the community. Be it a plumber, joiner, electrician etc, let us know.

You can contact us for more information at secretary@hydeunited.co.uk

Cheadle game re-arranged

Please note due to the high temperatures forecast the game at Cheadle Town which was scheduled for this Tuesday, 19th July, has now been moved to this Thursday, 21st July, with a 7:30pm kick off.

Our next home pre-season fixture is this Saturday when we take on Championship side Blackpool FC with a 3pm kick off.

Three in for the Tigers

Nick Spooner has strengthened his squad for the upcoming 2022/23 season by bringing in three players.

Adam Dawson is a winger but can predominantly play on both wings or in the number 10 position, Adam boasts EFL experience and has been most recently at divisional rivals Bamber Bridge and Radcliffe.

Jordan Lazenbury is a forward who has signed from Abbey Hey where he has been a regular goalscorer.  Jordan is no stranger to the Project Solar Stadium having had a brief loan spell, when we were in the National League back in April 2014.

Our final signing is Aaron Fleming, a defender, also signed from Abbey Hey.  Aaron was courted by a number of clubs in the Northern Premier Division for this coming season but has chosen to sign on at the project solar stadium.

Speaking on the new signings Spooner said ‘’Adam is a great signing for us, he gives us options on the right, both on the wing and at wing back and has a great delivery.’’

‘’Jordan brings us more options anywhere across the front three, his pace causes defender’s problems and has a proven record of scoring goals in recent years.’’

‘’Aaron brings us experience and competition for places in defence.  He’s comfortable playing out from the back and defends well in one on one situations.’’

Welcome to the Tigers!
