Junior sides welcome Louisiana Fire

We were delighted to welcome the Louisiana Fire youth teams on Monday.

They took on our Under 13’s and Under 14’s in games on the Project Solar Stadium pitch.

The Fire are currently on a trip to the UK organised by Ritchie Semple as part of the ”Total Football Experience Soccer Tours”

He said ”This tour is the fifth time Louisiana Fire have sent teams over so I know the coaches very well.

The biggest problem is finding a floodlit 3G pitch that is available as most are blocked up, so I tend to approach the clubs who have these block bookings for training to see if they are willing to shuffle teams around to free up the pitch.

We were supposed to be playing Salford City at the AJ Bell 3G but they had to cancel because of a EFL Audit, so I had to start contacting clubs like Bolton Wanderers, Tranmere Rovers, Curzon Ashton and Hyde United. Hyde were the first team to come back to me to confirm they would play and we thank the for that and we were so well looked after.”

Bunney Hops In

Joe Bunney has joined the Tigers on loan, from Stalybridge Celtic, for the rest of the season.

Bunney has plenty of EFL experience with the likes of Rochdale, Stockport County, Bolton and Grimsby.

The 30-Year-Old has just completed a loan spell at Workington and Nick Spooner feels he can ”add versatility to the squad due to the fact he can play in three or four positions”

Welcome Joe!
