Academy protege signs contract

 

Ahead of tonight’s FA Youth Cup Tie, we are delighted to announce that one of the members of that squad has been offered a first team contract by manager Nick Spooner.  Reece Mellor who only signed on to the first team two weeks ago has impressed the management that much that he has now been offered a deal.

Reece came through our junior system and is now part of our academy and will be hoping to help his side progress in the FA Youth Cup.

Manager Nick Spooner said ”We have seen our relationship with the academy grow, we recently offered three of the lads from the academy non-contract terms but I’m delighted to say one of those, Reece Mellor, has been offered a first team contract, I’ve been impressed with Reece he’s been in and around the first team training and the way he’s gone about it he deserves this deal.”

Come and see the lads in Youth Cup Action tonight as they take on South Liverpool Kick off 7:45pm.
