Hyde United v Guiseley Match Preview
After numerous training sessions, new signings and pre-season friendlies, the league season is finally upon us this Saturday as we host Guiseley at the Project Solar Stadium.
The Opposition
Guiseley come into the new season with a much-changed squad, as manager Paul Phillips has brought in the players he feels were needed after a respectable 13th placed finish last campaign, their first back at this level for a few years. They will have their sights set towards the top of the table this season. Guiseley were unbeaten throughout pre-season so will have confidence coming into the game.
There are plenty of ex tigers in the opposition squad, as Liam Tongue and Tom Pratt swapped Hyde for Guiseley during the close season and will be looking to impress on their immediate returns to the Project Solar Stadium. Jack Dyche has also signed from Gainsborough.
Another of a host of new signings is Tom Denton, a tall, experienced striker who has scored plenty of goals in non-league for the likes of North Ferriby, Halifax, Chesterfield and Alfreton over the years.

Nick Spooner has also refreshed our squad this summer, after narrowly missing out on the play offs last season, he has recruited experienced players ahead of the new campaign hoping to go one step further this time around. To name a few, Harry Bunn and Lewis Alessandra bring EFL experience, alongside the potential of the likes of Joel Amado and Bailey Thompson who have impressed in this league the last few years.
