Club Captain, Jordan Fagbola, Suffers Devastating Injury

We are disappointed to announce that Jordan Fagbola has ruptured his achilles tendon and looks set to miss the entirety of the 2020/21 season. First and foremost we are gutted for Jordan to pick up such a devastating injury and It’s a massive blow for the whole club as Jordan is the club captain and has been one of the stand out performers over the last 2 seasons. He is a great character who has been outstanding for the club both on and off the pitch. Football is not fair sometimes but he’s the type of character that will come back stronger.

As one of 3 contracted players at the club his contract is set to begin on the first game of the season (Saturday 19th September). The club will stand by Jordan and fulfill his contract as he has shown a great amount of loyalty to the club and has turned down better financial offers from numerous clubs over the last 2 seasons.

Due to the impact of the injury he is going to have to take time off work and will need further time off following his operation. His playing contract is heavily appearance based and therefore there will be financial implications to Jordan.

He has been injured representing Hyde United and we would like to do everything we can to support him, so we are setting up a Gofundme page with all the money raised will go to Jordan.
