Oldham game arrangements

Although this Saturday’s (July 8th) friendly v Oldham Athletic is NOT ticketed, there will be more turnstiles open than normal.
NB – It’s cash payment on the gate please, but card payments can be accepted at the respective bars & teabars inside the ground.
Turnstiles will be open from 1pm and we would ask for spectators to arrive as early as possible to ease any potential congestion.
Car parking at the ground will be at a premium, so we would encourage parking away from the ground and arrival on foot.
There will be an increased SIA stewarding presence, from both Hyde and Oldham representatives, and though there’s no formal segregation as such, there will still be crowd management procedures in place.
Due to technical issues their will be no matchday programme for this fixture.
Admission prices as follows-
ADULTS – £7
OVER 65 – £5
17/18/STUDENTS – £5
12 TO 16 – £4

Meet the Manager

The Meet the Manager ahead of the 2023/24 campaign will take place in the Social Club on Friday 4th August with a 7pm start.  Nick is encouraging people to come along and ask him questions so we hope to see you there.

Three re-sign for new campaign

Three players from last season have re-signed for the 2023-24 campaign.  Adam Dawson, Matty Fearnley and Aaron Fleming have all agreed terms to stay

Dawson joined the club last season after a spell in Cyprus and contributed with goals and assists, after a brief spell at Nantwich, Dawson re-signed to help the Tigers with their play off push at the end of the season.

Matty Fearnley came in after a few years in America, Fearnley came through the ranks at Manchester United and was well known to manager Nick Spooner from their time at Bolton together.

Aaron Fleming came in the start of last season after signing from Abbey Hey, after a stop start beginning to his campaign after injuries, he became a versatile asset to the Tigers covering a number of positions including full back, centre half and holding midfield.

We look forward to seeing them perform next season

Volunteers required for this season

As the new season approaches we are looking for more volunteers on matchdays and non-matchdays.

The club operates seven days a week with the pitch being hired out everyday.

Anyone wanting to help on matchdays please speak to Dan Bradley.

Non-matchday duties include helping out in the teabar on midweek evenings and some hours during the daytime on weekends.  This generates money for the club and also a general tidy up of the ground during the week

Harry Bunn signs

We are delighted to add midfielder Harry Bunn to the ranks at the Project Solar Stadium.

Bunn started his career at Manchester City but never made an appearance for the first team.

Despite only being 30 years old, Bunn has 200 appearances at EFL Level for the likes of Huddersfield, Bury and Southend United and spent last season at Buxton where he starred against the Tigers in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round Tie.

Manager Nick Spooner said ”We’ve gone for Harry’s quality, we saw what he could do for Buxton last year, he changed the game in that FA Cup game.  He brings experience to the squad which we lacked last year and he’s a good footballer.”

You can hear from the new signing on our Youtube Page Hyde United Official

The Hattersley born player won last season’s Players Player and Supporters Player of the Year awards and has turned down offers higher up to stay at the club.

Assistant manager Martin Coyne said ”It’s great that Harry has committed for another season, a local lad playing for his local side. Harry won supporters and players player of the year award last season and will be looking for him to build on his excellent performances on the pitch from last season.”
