Jack The Lad

We are delighted to announce the signing of defender Jack Kenny on a one month loan from Chester FC

The highly-rated 21-year-old made the move to the Deva Community Stadium after captaining Avro to promotion which culminated in a 4-2 win over Stalybridge Celtic in the playoff final to seal promotion following a tight title battle with Bury.

A product of the Stockport County youth system, the centre-back gained his first senior experience whilst at Edgeley Park with loans at Stockport Town and Avro, before a permanent move to Chadderton.

Jack is eligible to play for us in the FA Cup and will be in the squad for tomorrow’s game at Warrington Rylands (3pm Kick Off)

A Big Thank you

The Board of Directors would like to thank everyone involved in helping out at the recent Bank Holiday fixture v Bury. That goes to all the staff and volunteers who were on hand in so many areas; our sincere thanks and it’s very much appreciated.

Squad Update

Following the last two disappointing defeats their has been plenty of incomings and outgoings to the squad

Coming in we have Max Thompson, a forward who came through the ranks at Manchester United, Everton and Sunderland.  He also had spells in Scotland, at Queens Park and in Slovakia at MFK Skalica, he spent the second half of last season at Warrington Town.  Max made his debut at Alfreton where he was unfortunately sent off.

Also coming in is forward Max McCarthy who has signed on a Three month loan from Radcliffe FC, subject to confirmation from the FA. Max was previously at Congleton Town, on Max’s signing, manager Michael Clegg said ”Max is someone we were after all summer before he went to Radcliffe, but now the opportunity has arisen to bring him in we jumped at it.”

Leaving the club are Ryan Liu and Sanchez Phillips as their loan spells expire and they return to Stoke City as well as Ben Kershaw, Lewis Cunningham and Tyrell Dawes, ”We needed to strengthen the squad and we couldn’t guarantee them first team football so they leave with our best wishes”
