Two new faces added

Nick Spooner has added two new faces to the playing squad in the form of Rio McEvoy and Alex Perry.

Rio is a forward who came through the youth ranks at Cherry Orchard in Ireland, before having spells at Blackburn and Manchester United before having a successful period at Bolton Wanderers in the Under 18’s squad.  He has also won one cap for Republic of Ireland at Under 18 level.

Alex is another name familiar to Nick Spooner as the midfielder came through Bolton’s academy and made his debut for the team in 2016 when he started in a 2-0 home loss against Everton in the EFL trophy 

After leaving Bolton he joined neighbours Wigan Athletic, where he made 20 appearances in League One before joining Scunthorpe United last season, where he made 17 appearances, but the 24-year-old couldn’t prevent them from slipping out of the Football League.
