League Games For The 5th & 8th Postponed

Our league games scheduled for the 5th and 8th of December have now been postponed by the league.

This was after a meeting between the NPL clubs and the NPL League on Wednesday where a vote was taken on restarting the season or not, and a further meeting of the Trident Leagues on Thursday.

Here is the statement that was released yesterday.

The Clubs in membership of the Northern Premier, Southern and Isthmian Leagues (the Trident Leagues) met earlier this week to consider the challenges and issues brought about by the reintroduction of Tiers after the raising of the nationwide lockdown with effect from yesterday.

The clubs were asked to vote on a proposition that the pause in fixtures be continued with a regular review in light of changes to the Tiers and/or grants becoming available. The total votes cast by the 224 Clubs show a substantial number of Clubs in agreement with the proposition. The matter has been considered today and is subject to comment by The FA. A further statement will be issued in due course.

Government Tier Updates – What We Know

Greater Manchester has been put into Tier 3 after the lockdown is lifted on 2nd December.

There has been much speculation regarding what this means for the football club and allowing fans in when we resume on 5th December, at home to Radcliff.

At the moment we have had no confirmation from the FA as to regards what this means to us as a football club, everything is in the hands of the DCMS and the NLS. We are sure that after todays announcement, that there will be many talks between the FA, DCMS and the NLS.

As soon as we have any further information it will be posted here on our website and shared out to our Social Media outlets.

Second Online 50/50 Competition Launched

When we entered lockdown for the 2nd time in November, the club was again left in the position of having no income to pay bills.

One of the things we have launched is our second online 50/50 competition, our first one was during the first lockdown back in March. The one in March raised a £680 prize fund, that created 3 winners.

Although we don’t expect to be able to make the prize fund that large again, we hope to be able to give 3 winners a cash prize just before Christmas.

If you would like to buy tickets, they are available on our online club shop https://hydeunited.co.uk/product/online-50-50-ticket/

Join Our Predictor League

The football club have partnered with Predictor League to run our online Prediciton League.

We hope to use this to raise funds for the Football Club, not just during lockdown when we have no income, but for as long as people are interested in playing it.

The cost is £1 per week, you select the outcome of 7 fixtures, Home Win, Away Win or Draw. You have until 11:30pm on a Monday evening to make your selections for the coming weekends games.

Every £1 played will put 50% into the weekly prize fund, which is shared between those players that get the most correct predicitons.

Also, 15% of each £1 played, will go into the Jackpot Fund. Any players getting all 7 predictions correct in a gameweek will share the Jackpot Fund. If no one gets all 7 predicitons correct the Jackpot Fund will roll over to the next week, where it will grow every week until its won.

The share of a Jackpot Fund a winner gets will be determined on how much they have contributed to the Jackpot Fund. To get 100% of the Jackpot Fund you would have to be from when the Prediciton League started, which is Game Week 10, which is when we started the League. This is to prevent a player joining in Game Week 20 and getting all 7 predicitons correct and walking away with the whole Jackpot Fund having only contributed 15p of his £1 stake.

Signing up and joining the League are simply, follow the steps below;

Paddy Lane And Kingsley James Join Farsley Celtic On Loan

Both Paddy Lane and Kingsley James completed loan moves to Farsley Celtic earlier today.

The will be with Farsley for a month whilst the football club are unable to play any games due to the national lockdown.

From the Gaffer:

“We want to continue with Paddy’s development and he will go to Farsley Celtic on a 28 day loan. They have a good manager who will look after him and use him in the right way and Paddy is familiar with Adam. It’s a good opportunity for him to show what he can do in the National League North and he will come back to us firing on all cylinders.

Kingsley James will also join Farsley for a month. He’s got a suspension to serve but he will be available for a few games with Farsley and it will enable him to come back to us at full fitness when we resume.

Both players loans will finish on the 3rd December in time for our scheduled first game back against Scarborough.”

Confirmation Of Suspension Of Games Step 3 And Below

The football club have now received confirmation from The FA regarding the suspension of football during the national lock down, the full statement is as follows:

The Football Association [The FA] has provided an update for ‘non-elite’ football in England following the UK Government’s announcement on new national Covid-19 restrictions that will be in place from Thursday 5 November 2020 until Wednesday 2 December 2020.

As a result of the UK Government’s new national Covid-19 restrictions, and subject to Members of Parliament voting tomorrow [Wednesday 4 November 2020] and the publication of bespoke guidance from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport [DCMS], the impact on ‘non elite’ football in England will include the suspension of the following during this period:

  • All fixtures and training for Steps 3-6 of the National League System [NLS];
  • All fixtures and training for Tiers 3-7 of the Women’s Football Pyramid [WFP];
  • All fixtures and training for the Regional NLS Feeder Leagues;
  • All fixtures and training for The Barclays FA WSL Academy League;
  • All fixtures and training for FA Girls Regional Talent Clubs;
  • All fixtures and training for indoor and outdoor youth and adult grassroots football.

The FA’s aim is to ensure that the 2020/21 season is completed at these levels and will liaise with the relevant leagues in the NLS and WFP and the County Football Associations [CFAs] to provide support and establish appropriate options to do so if required.

The UK Government has confirmed that school sport can continue as an exemption during this period.

In addition, the UK Government has confirmed that all Emirates FA Cup First Round fixtures will go ahead as planned this weekend between Friday 6 and Monday 9 November 2020. The ten ‘non-elite’ clubs that remain in the competition will be able to play their fixtures under ‘elite’ protocols. In line with the new national Covid-19 restrictions, these ‘non-elite’ teams are only permitted to train together until Wednesday 4 November 2020.

Further updates on fixtures and dates for the 2020/21 Vitality Women’s FA Cup, The FA Youth Cup, Buildbase FA Trophy and Buildbase FA Vase will follow in due course.

Re-starting football at these levels has taken substantial determination and commitment from stakeholders across the game and The FA would like to thank everyone for their vital contributions. However, health and wellbeing remain the priority, so it is extremely important that clubs, players, coaches, match officials, league officials, volunteers, parents, carers and facility providers adhere to the UK Government’s new national Covid-19 restrictions during this period.

The FA remains in dialogue with the DCMS, leagues, competitions and CFAs and will provide further clarification for ‘non-elite’ football in England following the debate in the House of Commons tomorrow.

As we get further information we will keep you  updated.

Lancaster City ETickets Now On Sale – Prior To Lockdown

This coming Tuesday we host Lancaster City in the league, with a 7:45pm kick-off. The game comes 2 day before the month long national lockdown announced earlier today by the Prime Minister.

We have had no confirmation so far from the League or the FA about what this means for Non-Legaue football, but we would assume from the announcement that Elite football will continue, this being from Step 2 (National League) upwards, that we will be forced to suspend the season for a month, as Step 3 and below is not classed as Elite football.

So, this Tuedays game might be the last game you will be able to come and watch for over a month. They only way to gaurantee you are able to get entry, other than having a season ticket, is to purchase your Eticket asap.

ETickets are now available on our online club shop, https://hydeunited.co.uk/product/lancaster-city-league-tuesday-3rd-november-2020/

Social Club Update – Tier 3 Regulations

Unfortunately, due to the Government Tier 3 restrictions, the Social Club will be closed on all matchdays until further notice.
We appreciate this is a disappointment for many but we have to adhere to the instructions, so we would request that people do not attempt to bring alcohol into the ground to consume, as this is not allowed under licence and would risk our continuation under the current status.
Anyone found ignoring this request will be asked to leave the premises immediately and face further action by the Board
