Passing Of Former Director Of Football

Hyde United are saddened to learn that former Football Director, Ted Davies, has recently passed away. Ted was brought on to the Board in 2010 by then owner, John Manship, to provide a closer link between the playing and administrative side.

Ted had a long career as a respected Football Scout with the likes of Manchester City, Middlesbrough, QPR, Chelsea and Charlton Athletic and is credited as spotting a young Gary Lowe at the start of his professional playing career, later teaming up together at Hyde during the memorable Conference North championship season of 2011/12.
