John joined the Tigers from Boston Untied in the 2018/19 season.

He graduated through the Huddersfield Town Academy to make his first-team debut in May 2003. In 207 he spent a season at Hereford United before moving to Port Vale for a 5 year stint. Since 2013 he has had spells at Mansfield Town, York City, Macclesfield, Chester and Harrogate Town.

He stepped up to assistant manager alongside Dave McGurk in the 2019/20 season and continues that role again this season, and will no doubt make a few appearances this season.
