Under 19s Remain Undefeated & Yet To Concede

Under 19s Remain Undefeated & Yet To Concede

This Sundays fixture saw Hyde U19s face a familiar opponent in Saddleworth 3Ds, this time away from home. The game started off with Hyde dominating from minute one and after a multitude of chances, including a disallowed goal, the game was still level. That was however until midfielder Lennon Saycell found himself on the edge of the box midway through the first half. Taking the ball in his stride from 20 yards out he neatly placed it into the top corner making it 1-0 to Hyde. This allowed the lads to push on from here and replicate the performance in the second.

The second half began and Hyde continued to dominate. A missed penalty for Hyde not long after halftime was quickly forgotten about when Zeki Tutuncu executed a pinpoint through ball splitting the Saddleworth defence which Adam Leah got onto the end of and calmly slotted through the goalkeepers legs to make it 2-0. This allowed Hyde to control the game and with not long left they finally made it 3-0. A tidy finish from Fin Hampson allowed Hyde to secure the 3 points, remain unbeaten and record another clean sheet after the first 2 league games!

Another well deserved result for the lads leaving us 2nd in the league only on goal difference. This gives us a lot to build on and bring into the upcoming games.

Notable performances came from both Mateo Padovani and Jack Broughton in the middle of the park. The lads both brought with them maximum effort and a solid performance, massively helping the lads make it 2 wins from 2.
