Paddy Lane Called Up for Northern Ireland Senior Sqaud

We are delighted and proud to learn that former player Paddy Lane has received his first call up to the Northern Ireland senior squad to face Luxembourg and Lithuania, https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60737358

Since signing for League One Club, Fleetwood Town last summer, Paddy has gone from strength to strength.

Having stepped up from our Academy and making 48 first team appearances for the Tigers, scoring 8 goals, Paddy caught the eye of many clubs and there were always scouts from league clubs at games he featured in. Then last summer the club received an offer for Paddy from Fleetwood Town, and Paddy put pen to paper to make the step up to league football.

Since his move, Paddy has made 27 appearances for the Fleetwood Town first team in which he has scored 5 goals and has had a number of assists. He also received a call up to the Northern Ireland U21 squad, making 6 appearances and scoring on his debut. All of which has earned him, not only a call up to the Northern Ireland Senior Squad but also a new contract at Fleetwood, keeping him there for the 23/24 season.

Its great to see one of our own make the step up, not only to League Football, but also full International Football.
