Another new signing to the squad today.

Our new signing started his career at Stockport Georgians, before joining Cheadle Town where he won the Players Player of the year in 2016. He had spells with Mossely, Marine and also our local rivals Stalybridge Celtic, in fact he featured for Bridge in all 3 games between us and Bridge last season.

Our new signing is midfielder, Liam Tongue, who donned a Hyde United kit as a youngster in the photos on Twitter.

“We have been trying to sign Liam for a while now. We spoke to him last summer but we have finally got him to sign with us. He continued to impress against us last season and on the other occasions we watched him. Liam has an old head on young shoulders and I’m sure he will add a lot to our dressing room as well as the pitch.”
