AMAZING ACADEMIC ACADEMY YEAR 2018

AMAZING ACADEMIC ACADEMY YEAR 2018

August 18, 2018

This year the Academy students have returned amazing results with a success rate of 96% and an achievement rate of 93%. Significantly above the national average.

Students achieved this along side a full schedule of elite football training and games.

They were supported by an amazing & committed teaching staff at Hyde and at Warrington & Vale Royal College.

Academy Director Gareth Prendergast “We have managed our largest group of students this year, and delivered our best ever results. The students have been a credit to themselves in the classroom and on the pitch, and we are very proud of them all for what they have achieved”

The Academy at Hyde is unique in terms of its delivery and Gareth is proud of the achievements of the staff, a group he has built up over the past 10 years. “We have continued to deliver all lessons in house, with full time teaching staff working around a timetable which allows flexibility for academic learning along side practical excellence. Within this structure we have continued to develop our own teachers, with Stef Todd & Mike Allcock both passing their Cert Ed this year in partnership with Warrington & Vale Royal College. This continues for 2018-2019 with Jack Pritchard & Lee Wilshaw, who were our first two students to enrol on the Btec Course back in 2012, both completing their University Degree at University of Derby and they now join the full time teaching staff as first year trainee teachers for the coming academic year”
