A Message From The Board

Dear Supporter,

We hope you and your family are well and all continuing to stay safe at this trying time.The important consideration for us is the welfare of all our community of supporters, volunteers and followers and that we’re all back together again watching and following our Club further down the line.

Thank you again to everyone who has supported the virtual matchday initiative, complete with highlights to watch. The virtual team remain unbeaten and so far we have managed to raise  £4448.20 😊.

We want to assure you we’re trying very hard to keep the Club in business for when we return, the Government schemes are being explored and, though welcome, will take time to be processed. It has meant delaying certain bills and asking for time to pay, with mixed responses from certain service providers, but essentially the Club outgoings still remain, such as utilities, premiums, communication costs, contract wages etc .

We’ve worked very hard over recent years to build up our working relations with the likes of the Manchester FA, Tameside League, Manchester League, Lancs & Cheshire League, Tameside Schools and the North Manchester Girls League, all with their major end-of season Finals days booked on our FIFA 3G surface and all now consequently postponed or cancelled. That, together with our regular bookings including the Rochdale Development unit and our ever-expanding Juniors section, has cost the Club thousands of pounds in revenue, and that’s before we even consider the postponed First Team matches.

We also have commitments to hosting a number of community and charity events in the summer, as well as our own Juniors Tournament over 2 weekends in June, which are all ultimately subject to the Government guidance, and all potentially impacted both socially and economically.
