The home side came from behind to seal a huge win against Witton Albion, with a 3-2 victory.
Hyde took the lead on 32 minutes, after the lively Pratt was fouled by goalkeeper Mee. Liam Tongue stepped up from the spot and fired the ball into the bottom right corner. Hyde had numerous chances to extend their lead as Witton struggled to get out of their own half but the shots were all dragged wide of goal.
Witton drew level shortly after half time, Mwasile was fouled by Ditchfield and Foley stepped up from the spot to equalise despite a hand from Green in goal.
The visitors then got themselves in front after Roscoe didn’t get enough on the header back to the goalkeeper, and Saunders pounced on the loose ball to slide home
Hyde found their equaliser just five minutes later, this time a mix up in the Witton defence allowed Jack Dyche to run through on goal and slot into the bottom corner
Earlier in the half both sides had players substituted for injuries and the referee signalled eight minutes of added time. With 94 minutes on the clock Mitchell delivered a corner towards the far post which wasn’t cleared by Witton and Lewis Earl found the back of the net to seal a memorable win, and give Hyde some daylight above their rivals in the relegation zone.
