Hyde move into the preliminary round with a good result which benefitted from a flurry of late goals against a spirited Sheffield FC
The opening period had Hyde in control and able to play within themselves for the majority of time, with a threat down the flanks provided by Luke Porritt and Tom Pratt and a solid midfield performance by Lipka & Daly.
Sheffield are a mixture of experience and youth and it was the youthful number 8 Ehsan Mohammed who looked the most comfortable and impressive in possession.
Hyde opened the scoring on 14 minutes when Chib Chilaka hammered the ball home from 6 yards following some outstanding work down the left by Tom Pratt.
Chib was forced off with what looked like a groin strain on 35 minutes and was replaced by Karl Jones

The second half started with Hyde sitting back and Sheffield enjoying periods of control and pressure without really forcing a save out of Peter Crook in The Tigers goals.
They would regret failing to score, as the Tigers fitness started to tell and with fresh legs on the field as Keenan Quansah & Pete Boyle replaced Ross Daly & Gavin Rothery they took control.
On 75 minutes Kyle Harrison roared forward cutting inside before feeding Karl Jones on the edge of the box, and he danced inside, evading three tackles before rounding the keeper to double the Tigers lead. 2-0
Three minutes later Hyde broke up play just inside their own half and a quick pass from Janni Lipka released Tom Pratt who ran clear before squaring the ball to Pete Boyle to fire home from the penalty spot. 3-0
Kyle Jones then completed his hattrick with goals on 87 & 90 minutes both supplied by Tom Pratt.
Sheffield had the last word scoring a consolation goal as the referee blew for full time.
