Hyde travelled to a strong Warrington side on the back of a win last weekend against Hednesford, looking to make it 2 in a row.
The first 10 minutes were fairly chanceless but the first goal came on 18 minutes when the experienced Tony Gray found himself in the area and fired in low to Crooks’ right. With Kyle Harrison picking up an injury, Hyde were forced to change shape and bring on Jerome Wright trying to get back level.
Warrington continued to be on the front foot and had the majority of possession but without testing Peter Crook much.
With 5 minutes to go in the first half, a yellow card was given to Raven for a foul on Tom Pratt about 30 yards from goal, with Nicky Platt stepping up to curl a beauty into the bottom corner putting the tigers level at half time.
The second half was scrappy with both teams getting frustrated, a number of yellow cards were shown to either side and injuries forcing both teams to make subs, disrupting the flow of the game.
It was on 84 minutes that Warrington found themselves back in front. A corner was partially cleared away finding Jake Kirby near the by-line who thrashed it into the net from close range. Hyde had a big chance in injury time but Albinson producing numerous saves from Simpson to give Warrington the 3 points.
