Recap

Hyde United jumped back into the play off positions after a thunderous 4-0 victory over Marine. All four goals came in the second half after the away side lost their discipline with two red cards

In the first half Hyde had the better chances but failed to convert. The best opportunity fell to Will Russ on 29 minutes as his looping header beat Passant but hit the top of the crossbar.

Marine left back Joe Bunney picked up his first yellow card on the stroke of half time after a cynical challenge and 5 minutes into the second half he was the first Marine player to receive marching orders picking up his second yellow for denying Mampala a shot through on goal.

Mampala put Hyde in front on 56 minutes after heading home a corner from Callum Spooner. He soon got his second goal of the afternoon on the hour mark after firing into the bottom corner inside the box.

Marine’s afternoon went from bad to worse on 68 minutes as they went down to nine men as substitute Clark was sent off for an elbow on Hyde midfielder Tom Iorpenda.

The tigers wrapped up an impressive victory with two goals in the last 15 minutes. A 30 yard wonder strike from Adam Dawson added a third and he turned provider for the fourth and final goal as he crossed for Jack Redshaw to head home.
