Credit must go to both teams who battled against the elements to serve up an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Project Solar Stadium. 

Hyde started the better of the two sides and they took the lead on 14 minutes. Adam Dodd was dispossessed by Shakeel Jones-Griffiths as he was looking for a foul and got caught, and he slid the ball to Matt Fearnley whose shot was deflected into the bottom corner. 

Bamber Bridge then started to get into the game. Toure found the net on 32 minutes but the flag went up for offside. It didn’t take them much longer to find the goal that counted as Chris Churchman used the wind to his advantage. His long range free kick swerved and beat Sam Waller in goal. 

Just after half time, Bamber Bridge took the lead. Dodd swung a cross in from the left side which found Ewan Bange, his first time shot was saved well by Waller but the rebound fell kindly for Bange to slot home. 

As the game went on, it looked like all three points were going home with the visitors until Hyde were awarded a penalty in injury time as Joel Amado was pulled back in the box as he was about to find the net. 

After a lengthy delay, Jack Redshaw was allowed to take his penalty but it was saved by James Pradic. However the rebound came back to Redshaw who headed home. 

The drama didn’t end there as Bamber Bridge lost their discipline through the remaining injury time as Michael Potts was sent off for a late two footed tackle, but they held on for the point.
