MESSAGE TO ALL SUPPORTERS – PYROTECHNICS

It has come to the Board’s attention that there may be supporters contemplating taking smoke bombs to the Easter Monday derby at Stalybridge. The Board’s directive is quite clear on this – DON’T!

The Sporting Events (control of Alcohol) Act 1985 makes it an offence for any person to enter a football ground while in possession of a flare, smoke bomb or firework. The FA class all these as ‘pyrotechnics’.

We have already stated in two recent messages that the FA views all Clubs as responsible for their supporters at both Home AND Away grounds. If any incident occurs, the Club would then be subject to FA disciplinary charge and fines etc.

To be clear again, if any individuals are identified as transgressing these rules then they will be reported to the authorities and banned from all future Hyde United matches.

PLEASE TAKE HEED OF THIS MESSAGE AND KEEP YOUR SUPPORT POSITIVE.
