Join Our Group Of Volunteers

The football club are looking for more volunteers to help in the running and up keep of the club.

There are many roles that volunteers do and those roles are increasing every season as the club increases the number of teams it has. We have a very successful Junior and Youth setup, a ladies team and an onsite Academy, all of which means the ground is open 7 days a week. With being open 7 days a week there are a lot of people that come to the ground to watch teams train or play games. More people in the ground means the need for ongoing maintenance, tidying up, ground improvements and providing refreshments increases.

There is only so much our current group of volunteers can do, so having new volunteers will ensure that we can continue to grow and provide the facilities for the local community. Being a fans owned club means we depend upon volunteers to keep costs down and keep the ground in good condition.

So, if you can spare an hour here or there in the evenings after work or at weekends, when many of our teams are training or playing games it would very much welcomed.

We would also love to have new volunteers to help out on first team match days, Saturdays and Tuesday evenings. There are many roles that need doing on a first team match day to ensure everything is ready before a game and whilst the game is on.

It’s a great way to meet new people and get involved with the local community and your local football club.

Monday to Friday from 5pm and at weekends, when our teams are training or playing games we need people to help keep the ground tidy, do general maintenance or help out in the main tea bar.

On first team home games, there are many more roles to do, some are but not limited to:

Sell programmes.
Sell 50/50 tickets.
Sell golden goal tickets.
Help at our turnstiles and players entrance.
Help out in our new tea bar, pitch side next to the Leigh Street stand.
Help in our outside bar, pitch side next to the Tinkers stand.

You might not be able to help every first team home game, but if you can help at some games it would help. Our current group of volunteers are not always available for first team home games because of other commitments or holidays, so having people we can call upon for a game here and there would be great.

If you have a trade we would also like to hear from you, we are always looking for tradesmen to do jobs our volunteers don’t have skills to do and would prefer to employ the services of local people in the community. Be it a plumber, joiner, electrician etc, let us know.
