”Five more players have agreed terms to stay at Ewen Fields as preparations continue for the 2021/22 season.
Chinedu Uche, Theo Bailey Jones, Harry Benns, Seydou Bamba and Carter Waters have signed on for another season.
Manager Dave McGurk was delighted to get the deals done and spoke in glowing terms about each player
‘’Chinedu was a key player for us in the short season we had last year. He’s full of pace and energy and for a young player he’s got a fantastic understanding of the game. He can adapt to any formation we play and I’ll be expecting him to contribute to our goals for column this season.’’
‘’ Theo’s looking sharp in the training we’ve had so far. We were aware when we signed him last season it may take a few months to see the best of him. He’s had a career threatening injury and I’m glad he’s come back looking in good shape. He’s technically gifted and can offer us a bit of everything in terms of a wide man.’’
‘’Harry is another one who’s looked sharp and the lockdown period has worked out well for Harry. He’s got trust back in his ankle and now it’s time for him to kick on. He’s someone who rarely gives the ball away and now we are looking for him to take his game further with goals and assists.’’
‘’ The lads and staff love Seydou. The sharpest player in the league and his 1v1 ability is frightening. We need to work on his understanding in and out of possession. His attitude is brilliant and he has the opportunity to impress in pre season.’’
‘’Carter is another academy graduate he impressed in the friendlies we played at the back end of last season. Another one who we have high hopes for this coming season.’’
The club are hoping to announce more players signing on in the coming days.
