Board Nominations Required

Although interest has already been expressed from existing candidates, the following posts are up for election for candidates with certain skills

Nominations to be received by Thursday 2nd August, elections to be arranged as necessary and completed at the Annual General Meeting on the evening of Thursday 16th August to be held in the Hyde United Social Club, starting at 7:30pm

The Board will be announced as soon as possible after this evening with the Chairman being voted from the elected positions of the Board.

Board of Directors – Experience/Skills Requirements

Fixed Positions
1) General Manager, Admin, Facilities & Grounds – Pete Ainger
2) Academy & Youth Development – Mark Worthington

Elected Positions
3) Club Football & FA Liaison Director
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Go between the Board of Directors and Team Managers
Knowledge and contacts of the Football Association governing body
Chairing the Football Sub-Committee

4) Community Director
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Building links with different community groups
Knowledge of local council community development programmes
Chairing the Community Sub-Committee
Strong presentation skills
Excellent time management and well-organised

5) Development & Grants Director
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Generating initiatives
Creating appropriate applications
Managing grant-aided projects
Identifying Club grant opportunity and managing the grant processes
Helping partner organisations maximize grant opportunity
Building positive relationships with grant holders and their institutions
Developing policies, systems and processes introducing innovative ideas into the way we are able to fund.
Strong presentation skills
Excellent time management and well-organised

6) Marketing and PR Director
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Managing marketing promotional campaigns; offline (flyers, brochures, advertising, PR), online (social media, Google, etc)
Generating new business – football club, academy, club shop and social club
Managing the club databases (members, supporters, shop sales, etc)
Chairing the Marketing Sub-Committee
A marketing ‘all-rounder’ with a broad understanding of the full marketing mix, and experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of managing digital marketing channels
Proficient in the best practises of marketing communication
Familiar with the creative process/ experience of working with agencies
Analytical, particularly campaign/ day to day measurement
Strong presentation skills
Excellent time management and well-organised
Logical and methodical, with creative problem-solving abilities

7) Matchday/Security Director
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Managing Matchday staff requirements (stewards, turnstiles, car park, main stand, directors’ box)
Managing Ground Security and Safety

8) Members Representative 1
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Volunteering experience
To be available for matchday volunteer duties

9) Members Representative 2
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Volunteering experience
To be available for matchday volunteer duties

10) Members Representative 3
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Volunteering experience
To be available for matchday volunteer duties

11) Social Club Director
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Valid alcohol licence
Managing records for HMRC
Managing the bar operation (clean line weekly, record of takings, purchase of stock, gaming machines)
Keeping all bars stocked in date order (Social Club and Sponsors Lounge)
Managing all suppliers
Maintain and clean all equipment
Managing staff rotas
Payment of staff
Managing Social Club events (bookings, event preparation, etc)

12) Treasurer
Experience/Skills Requirements:
Managing all club cash
Managing records
Reporting records to the Board of Directors
Banking
Online takings
Matchday takings/floats; Social Club, Club Shop, Gate receipts, Tea Bar
Payment of matchday officials, stewards, tea bar staff
Timely HMRC payments
